OK, these all assume OEM specs, so considering how far off some other recent GPA drivers and re-cones are, only the biggest may be best overall. Considering the cost of such large cabs, measuring the drivers should be done and adjust these numbers if required.
T/S max flat = ~15.74 ft^3/22.54 Hz Fb
Classic alignment = ~22.07 ft^3/18.3 Hz Fb
SET alignment = ~31.79 ft^3/18.03 Hz
How long the cab depends on how high off the floor the horns can be or if folded in half, but this will increase either width and/or depth, i.e. folding the 80? in half while maintaining the 18? x 36? depth will cut the 30 ft^3 down to a little < 15 ft^3.
If the 80? height is maintained, then mounting the horns inside down near the 411 will wreak havoc with its TL pipe action and have no way to sim it, but I?m guessing it will mess up its performance too much. If using shallow cone/dome mids/HF though, it wouldn?t be a problem.
So, which size, layout do you want?

OK, so huge it is, but will this be for ‘sub’ duty only or will you want the option to add a horn on top to make an extra pair of speakers? If the latter, what cab height/floor distance [o.d.]?

yeah I was thinking of just using this as subs. well door width and ceiling height are the main factors. ceiling is 7' 2" the diagonal of the box would need to be just less to than this to tilt it. and the door width is 35" with the door pins removed.

Ugh! Got sidetracked and forgot about this again! Got reminded when I ran across an old stillborn default cab design project me n’ Marty had started back in 2007 at the behest of others, but its demand petered away faster than we could complete it, so didn’t waste anymore time on it.
Anyway, it includes a big, folded in half 411 MLTL that’s designed to go through a standard entry way door even if it has a [standard] screen door plus a removable baffle that allows it to either be a floor coupled [sub] woofer or mains speaker with horn perched on top.
Can’t find my notes, so will have to re-sim it and probably change its fixed tuning to an adjustable one among other things.
PM your email addy, so I can send the pdf along with some notes.

thank you for helping me out GM. this is going to be great.![]()
should I install handles or just build them on VW chassis?![]()

You're welcome! I used two castors and bar handle on the 20-30 ft^3 cabs I've built with no problems moving them on ~flat ground and short step entryways, but that was before I got all banged up and old......
Bummer, it turns out that the drawing is for the smallest cab I listed earlier, so need to re-do it before emailing it, but for various reasons probably won't get it done for some days yet.
At a glance though, is 42" h x 32" w x 48" d o.d. acceptable or ........? FWIW, 32” was my limit for two castors, but this raises the folded height to 62” o.d. which for an outdoor speaker app is better overall since it will put the horn/woofer combo up around chest-head height for max ‘slam’ effect and minimal HF loss over distance due to crowd absorption, but may not blend as well if used indoors with the A7s unless just for sub duty with the driver rotated to the bottom to maximize ground plane gain.

sorry GM i thought i had replied to your post. 42-32-48 sounds great,, unless were talking girls. and i can go 62" that wouldn't be a problem
looks like i'll have some days off.
